Antenatal Care

We would like to see you before you become pregnant if possible and early in pregnancy. Once you are pregnant we will share your care with the Community Midwife.

Baby Clinics

Baby Clinics take place at Sixpenny Handley:

  • 2pm - 3pm on the second Thursday afternoon of each month

Baby Clinics take place at Broad Chalke:

  • 2pm - 3pm on the 4th Thursday of each month

Other Clinics

Prevention Is Better Than Cure

We offer services to promote good health and prevent ill health. We recommend:

  • German measles immunisation for women of child bearing age with a routine check before you first become pregnant 
  • Blood pressure and weight check every 3 years over the age of 16 
  • Cervical Cytology Test (smear) every 3 years for women aged between 25 and 50 and every 5 years from  50 to 65 
  • Influenza immunisation in October for those aged over 65 years, or those at risk from chest infections e.g. people with diabetes, heart disease, severe asthma or chronic lung disease
