As Doctors we work closely with our Nurses, Health Visiting Team and our team of Locality Carers. We are supported by our Practice Manager, Receptionists and Dispensers. The Practice Manager is responsible for the general management of the practice.
We are a teaching practice and are involved in the training of qualified doctors to become General Practitioners. These doctors are known as GP Specialty training doctors (GP ST) and are part of our team. You may be offered an appointment with our GP Specialty training doctor. If you would prefer to see Dr Nodder, Dr Morgan, Dr Taubman or Dr Hawdon then please inform the receptionist. Sometimes our GP Specialty training doctor may observe other members of the practice team consulting. If you would prefer to be seen alone please mention this at reception.
As part of their assessment GP Specialty training doctors need to make video recordings of some of their consultations. It is their behaviour that is being assessed, not yours, but if you would rather not be recorded please feel free to decline to sign the consent. We occasionally have final year medical students sitting with us. This is a vital part of their training. If at such times you wish to see us alone, please do not hesitate to tell the receptionist or the doctor.
Appointments can be made with any of the Practice Nurses without a referral from a Doctor. Duties undertaken by the Nurses within the surgeries include:
In the home our nurses arrange nursing care for all ages and have specialist qualifications and experience in continence care, terminal care, care of the elderly, health education and living with disabilities. They can also refer patients to other appropriate care agencies.
The Nursing Team is supported by a team of Locality Carers. The Locality Carers supplement the quality and flexibility of home care available.
Hollie Barnes (maternity leave)

The Health Visitor also gives advice on health promotion and support at times of difficulty or crises, especially in the family.
The Health Visiting Teams are county based. If you wish to contact your health Visitor please contact reception for details
