Important Practice News

Dear Patients

We would like to inform you about some important developments at Sarum Health Group and Sixpenny Handley GP Practices.  We are in the early stages of planning a merger between our two practices, which will combine our strengths and enhance the services we provide to our communities.

As it stands, the merger is due to be completed on April 1st 2025, which will coincide with the planned retirement of Dr Mark Morgan from Sixpenny Handley.

This merger presents a unique opportunity to build a stronger, more resilient healthcare network. As healthcare needs evolve and NHS recruitment becomes more challenging, the merger will secure long-term stability for both practices and help us continue delivering high-quality care.

The process of merging GP practices is complex, and we are being supported by an experienced team from our Integrated Care Board. While there is still much to do, we will ensure that all patients have the opportunity to provide feedback during a public consultation before the merger goes ahead.

For the time being, we will continue to focus on your health and care needs, and we ask that any questions about the merger be held until the consultation process begins, so that we can continue to prioritise patient care.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we look forward to sharing further updates in the months ahead.
