The Gronnow Davis Dispensary provides a convenient local dispensary service to support our patients and the primary health care team.
In rural general practice, the dispensary fills a gap that does not exist in urban areas. Vital medicines can be dispensed at point of contact and the repeat medicine service provides medicines for repeat prescriptions.
Enhanced access
There are weekday evening, weekend and bank holiday appointments available in the wider area, bookable through the practice.

If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
The 111 service will be able to help with the following:
- Advice over the phone.
- A visit to a local treatment centre at St Leonard’s, Shaftesbury, Blandford or Salisbury Hospitals.
- A home visit by a nurse, doctor, Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) or paramedic.
If having been in contact with the out-of-hours team they advise that you need to be seen by your own GP, please take the initiative and call the surgery on the next working day. Don’t wait for us to call you as there is sometimes a delay in messages from the out-of-hours team reaching us.
